What can you use the app for?

Fashism is an application that allows its users to share their outfits, accessories or any other photo portraying one's fashion and solicit feedback from a network of fellow fashionistas. Users can quickly determine if they have a fashion hit or a fashion faux pas by gauging the voice of the people. Additionally, those with a keen eye for fashion could also join and offer their opinion to others in this fashion community. Trendsetters can get inspired by some of the outfits posted on the site. Others could avoid stepping out of their house in an outfit that they thought looked great but that others find laughable or hideous.

Fashism is a really entertaining website where users can interact, offer advice and get something in return as well. When users have a photo that they want to upload, they can provide some background information about the compilation, and then they can ask the community specific questions to get the feedback that they are looking for. Finally other users can vote whether they love or hate the outfit. For the outfits that are loved the most they can become featured on the "Leader Board" which provides some nice exposure to the best fashion arrangement.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Fashism is one of the first websites to come out with this concept of rating others' fashion decisions. It has been featured on Good Morning America, Crunchbase and many other publications. Many other site have copied this concept.

The Fashism operation is supported by investments. The site was founded by Brooke Mooreland and Ashley Granada.

What are the differences to other apps?

Again, Fashism is one of the original sites to offer this kind of service. As such they have a large community to offer feedback and advice on outfits. The services are free and there is a lot of competition to get onto the Leaderboard for having the best styles. Also the site is backed by a solid team and investment dollars so it is a bit further along than some other applications in terms of functionality.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

Fashism is fun and easy to use. Users can easily upload their photos and synchronize to their Facebook account as well. The voting mechanism is very clear and the commenting tools are straightforward. The Leaderboard ranking system is the only complicated piece to the Fashism application, however, users will quickly catch on to even that part.

How does the registration process work?

Users can quickly register to participate in the Fashism community by logging in with their Facebook profile. Once the Facebook account is validated, users are apart of the Fashism community and can begin sharing outfits, commenting on styles and acquiring points for the Leaderboard.

What does it cost to use the application?

Fashism is a free application to use. It is supported by investments and advertising revenue. There are no indications that Fashism will be charging for their services any time in the future.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Fashism is a great application for anyone who ever wondered if their outfit looked good, or what they could do to improve or complete an important outfit for an upcoming event.

Fashism also helps prevent fashion disasters. Many have worn an outfit in public that they thought was great indoors, but once they received feedback from friends and the public wish they could have done something different. Fashism helps users hone their fashion sense and help others do the same.
